Here you can experience much more than just silence and inner peace – you will also have the opportunity to make new friends, taste and learn vegetarian cooking, experience beautiful nature and find joy & inspiration in wisdom and meditation 🙏

You will learn how you can easily add yoga and meditation in your own life, and thus experience all the benefits of this lifestyle. Together we will practice simple meditation techniques, breathing exercises with mantra, yoga asanas (exercises) for both beginners and more advanced practitioners, guided deep relaxation, and more. We also arrange sessions with live music meditation - a favorite for many! You will have delicious vegetarian meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner 🙂
For those reflecting upon the deeper questions in life there will be the opportunity to learn about the wisdom and science of yoga. During your stay you can also go for walks in the beautiful scenery, read a book or just relax and enjoy the company of like-minded people.

Cost: 2450, - (1600, - student) covers accommodation, food and all courses

Transportation: We try to arrange car pooling, but we can also pick you up at Midtskogen which is the closes bus station around 10 min drive from Storbuan.
Date: Arrival on Friday, Oct 14th at. 16:00 (starts with dinner), departure Wednesday Oct 19th at 2:00 p.m after we finish cleaning:)
Take part: Everyone contributes what they can on this retreat - it will be possible to help with set up, cooking, cleaning, etc.

Soft yoga | 7 weeks course

I would like to invite you to our September yoga course, which will last 7 weeks, from September 1st to October 13th, every Thursday at 18.00 – 19.15.

Many of us have already experienced the amazing benefits of yoga, including: reducing back and lumbar pain, strengthening the muscles, relieving tension and stress, improving the range of joint motion, increase of energy and many others.

Take care of yourself and add something positive and beneficial to your life 🙂

1. "Strong back" – Gentle yoga for a healthy spine
2. "Detox" - A sequence which enhances twists.
3. “By catching your balance on the mat, you will find it in life” - A sequence of balance positions.
4. “Reach Inner Peace” - Sequence focused on forward bends.
5. "Energy increase" - Sequence based on Surya Namaskar
6. “Become a Yoga Warrior” – Soft sequence introducing variations of Virabadhrasana
7. “Digest and Relax” – Introducing asanas which helps with digestion 😊

What kind of yoga is this?
A soft, gentle and calm form of yoga. We will also mix in some energizing movements and positions. We will focus on relaxed and deep breathing in both flow and when we're staying longer in each asana - which can help calm a restless mind filled with stress and worries and cultivate a feeling of inner peace.
What will we be doing?
We start with mindfulness techniques and simple breathing exercises to help you be present here and now - physically and mentally. During the class there will be breathing techniques, gentle dynamic exercises as well as deep stretching and opening of especially hips and shoulders. Each class ends with guided deep relaxation where you can experience a deep inner peace you can take with you into everyday life.
Does this suit me?
The course is suitable for you who want a break from a hectic everyday life, need to replenish energy, experience a lack of agility and flexibility, struggle with back, neck and joints, want to find back to good feeling in the body, or just want to be more present in life.

- But I've never tried yoga before ...
No problem! In our classes you get good guidance and we adapt all the exercises based on your level and daily form. The classes are based on each individual's prerequisites, so that everyone always has a place to work and develop from.
- What should I bring with me?
We have most things you need, yoga mats, blankets, blocks, etc. Since the class also includes deep relaxation, it can be nice to have some extra warm and comfortable clothes. It can be a comfortable pair of trousers, a top and possibly a thicker sweater and warm socks. Those who wish can bring a scarf to cover their eyes during the relaxation. We also have blankets.
- And who is the yoga teacher?
My name is Mohini, originally from Poland but I've lived in Norway for over 20 years. I'm a certified yoga teacher and have been teaching yoga for over 9 years now. I love making yoga easily available for everyone and to share the amazing benefits of yoga with others

About us

Trondheim Meditasjon & Yoga (TMY) is a voluntary organization run by Anja, Kristian, Lisa, Kristin and several other friends. Yoga and meditation have become a big part of our lives, it gives us a lot of inner peace and joy, and we therefore try to share it with others, as it was once given to us - therefore many of our courses are free :)

We want to offer you a place where you can feel at home, and find a little more harmony in yourself and your everyday life.
In other words: come as you are.

Peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of all these things and still be calm in your heart.

Here are we, who are behind Trondheim Meditasjon & Yoga



Anja has practiced meditation and studied Yoga wisdom for over 20 years, and sees great value and joy in sharing it with others. She loves mantra singing, cooking and talking about deep topics and life issues. Anja is our general manager.



Kristian is a really kind-hearted person and friend who is always happy to lend a helping hand. He is responsible for finance, marketing and helps Anja with the administration of our organization.



Kristin is very fond of singing and playing guitar, often leads music meditation with her nice voice. She also loves being in nature and is a good conversation partner.



Lisa has a big heart and loves deep conversations that she fills with a lot of knowledge. She often leads introductory courses in meditation.
