But occasionally we also hold special courses in vegetarian cooking, self-development and yoga wisdom classes, and towards the end of the year we arrange vegetarian Christmas dinners. About every month we have a day retreat, and 3-4 times a year we go to yoga and meditation retreats at Storbuan eco-community.

🌺 Yin Yoga | Mondays, starting on 18th April, at 18:00
A very calm form of yoga. We give ourselves plenty of time (up to several minutes) to deeply connect to our breath, in both sitting and lying positions, so we can experience softening and loosening up in deeper tensions & stress in the body as well as the mind.

🌺 Soft Yoga | Thursdays, starting on 21st April at 18:00
Do you want to balance and soften up the body from the inside? Then Soft Yoga will be a very nice opportunity - here we go through the session with calm, deep breathing and we mix in warming movements and positions for energy, balance and strength.

Who am I?
My name is Mohini - I am a certified yoga teacher and have been teaching yoga for over 20 years. Is love making yoga easily accessible to everyone, so you can also experience this good feeling in body & soul.

🌱 What is Yin Yoga?
Every class starts lying on the mat with dimmed lights and deep breathing. We will move into sitting and lying poses that we hold for 2-5 minutes, which gives us time to calm the mind. When we hold a position a little longer, we get the opportunity to shift the focus from the flow of thoughts and worries to the breath and the body, which helps us to be present in ourselves. We allow the moment to be exactly as it is, without judging. This helps us to let go of, and loosen up in, deep tensions, pain and stress. During the class there will be breathing techniques (pranayama), gentle dynamic exercises as well as deep stretching and opening of especially hips and shoulders. We round off with guided deep relaxation where you can experience a deeper peace that you can bring with you into everyday life.

🌱 What is Soft Yoga?
Also a calm form of yoga, but here we also mix in warming movements and positions for energy, balance and strength. We start with simple breathing exercises to help you really land - physically and mentally - so that we can have a calm, deep breath throughout the session. We vary between sitting, standing and finally lying exercises that we hold for 5-10 breaths. In this way, we combine building strength and energy in the body with deep stretching of the muscles. We round off with guided deep relaxation where you can experience a deeper peace that you can take with you into everyday life.

We will start the day with a soothing session of hatha yoga & deep peace relaxation 🌿 After a short break with vegetarian snacks & tea, we will practice simple & effective meditation techniques that you can add to your daily routine. We will also share some profound and valuable lessons for your personal life, for those who want to live a more meaningful, joyful and fearless life, from the ancient wisdom of yoga 🌿

After the meditation you will get to enjoy a tasty vegetarian dinner followed by live music meditation, or kirtan. Kirtan helps draw the mind away from stress & anxiety and allows us to experience a deep sense of peace and joyfulness 🎵💜

About us

Trondheim Meditasjon & Yoga (TMY) is a voluntary organization run by Anja, Kristian, Lisa, Kristin and several other friends. Yoga and meditation have become a big part of our lives, it gives us a lot of inner peace and joy, and we therefore try to share it with others, as it was once given to us - therefore many of our courses are free :)

We want to offer you a place where you can feel at home, and find a little more harmony in yourself and your everyday life.
In other words: come as you are.

Peace does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble or hard work. It means to be in the midst of all these things and still be calm in your heart.

Here are we, who are behind Trondheim Meditasjon & Yoga



Anja has practiced meditation and studied Yoga wisdom for over 20 years, and sees great value and joy in sharing it with others. She loves mantra singing, cooking and talking about deep topics and life issues. Anja is our general manager.



Kristian is a really kind-hearted person and friend who is always happy to lend a helping hand. He is responsible for finance, marketing and helps Anja with the administration of our organization.



Kristin is very fond of singing and playing guitar, often leads music meditation with her nice voice. She also loves being in nature and is a good conversation partner.



Lisa has a big heart and loves deep conversations that she fills with a lot of knowledge. She often leads introductory courses in meditation.
